Betty McGee

November 19, 1940 - June 19, 2025

A memorial service for Betty Ilene McGee, 84, will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, June 28, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 419 N. Eisenhower. A member of the Bishopric will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent to the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Betty Ilene (Tracy) McGee passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2025. She was born on November 19, 1940, to the late Alva and Darlene (Reker) Tracy in Fremont, Nebraska, where she was raised.

She married Alfred E. Thal, an Air Force member, on January 5, 1956, and they had three children: Alfred, Michael, and Alice. As a military spouse, she lived in quite a few different places, including Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, and Germany, before settling in Enid, Oklahoma.

She married Clifford McGee on March 16, 1979, and they had one son, Forrest. Betty worked in retail until joining Evans Drug Store, where she was a devoted employee and worked there for over 30 years before retiring in 2015.

Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and truly lived her faith. She loved family, cooking and baking, and serving others; she was especially passionate about genealogy.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, spouses, daughter, and other beloved family members. S

he is survived by two sisters, Alvina and Marilyn (Don), and three sons, Al (Susan), Mike (Wendy), and Forrest. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon), David (Alisa), Micah (Chris), Derrick (Shaina), Geoffrey, Eddie, Morgan, and Teagan; eleven great-grandchildren, Archer, Max, Luke, Jake, Mark, Rylie, Brynlee, Tynsleigh, Willow, Trinity, and Sterling, and numerous nieces and nephews.
