A Salute to Veterans

ENID, OK - The Enid Symphony is celebrating local veterans with the next two concerts “A Salute to Veterans: Featuring the Satin Dollz,” on Saturday, November 9th at 7 pm and Sunday, November 10th at 2 pm, at Symphony Hall.

“We are asking ESO patrons single ticketholders for these concerts to send a digital photos of any Veteran they would like to honor during a special slide show we will be creating for the event,” said Music Director Douglas Newell. The heart-warming slide show will complement the delightful high energy of The Satin Dollz. Digital Veteran photos should be emailed to enidsymphony@aol.com by Monday, November 4th for inclusion in the slideshow.

This top-notch entertainment is reminiscent of the WWII USO Camp Shows. These pin- up darlings, a stunning ensemble of singing, tap dancing, and down right charming ladies, have delighted audiences young and old, stateside and overseas, with their blended vocal harmonies, high energy tap dancing sparkling charisma and stunning beauty wrapped up in a retro bow.

Originally formed in Hollywood, California, The Satin Dollz now perform in 16 countries including Europe and North America. Calif Also, the Satin Dollz sing on BBC Radio to its 20 million listeners. This international family of over 60 vintage talent powerhouses can be seen currently on the sold out “Party Like Gatsby” tour spanning 16 countries throughout Europe and North America in 2018-19, as well as on the “Big Beat Revue” UK tour with The Jive Aces in 22 theaters kicking off in the West End’s Aldwych Theater in London. Southern Californians can currently see The Satin Dollz at their monthly residency and take part in an immersive 1940s swing night at Long Beach’s Federal Underground. Chris Tedesco, Satin Dollz Music Director, will bring his more than 20-year experience with vintage swing music to Enid for these concerts.

The 2019-2020 Enid Symphony Orchestra concerts are made possible in part through the generous support of the Oklahoma Arts Council with assistance from the National Endowment for the Arts and Security National Bank of Enid.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for active military and Veterans and $15 for children. Available seats may be purchased online at enidsymphony.org.
