A Mass of Christian Burial for George William Stottmann, 90 of Muskogee will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 5, 2026 at St. Gregory Catholic Church with Father Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Rusk Cemetery, Fairview. Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
George was born on January 8, 1936, in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Theodore B Sr, and Lucy E. (Noel) Stottman, and passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
George graduated from Mooreland High School and served in the United States Army. He married Zola Mae Lee on November 3, 1967 and became the dad to nine children. George worked as a driller and roughneck in the oilfield and he retired at the age of 62.
George is survived by 3 sons Don Lee, Leonard Lee and Larry Lee; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother John Stottman; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Zola, children Henry Dean, Vernon, Mary, Janet, Nancy, siblings Ted Stottmann, Lucy Pitcherello, Catherine Glover, and Rachel Highfill.
