The funeral service for Edward "Eddie" Butts, a 76-year-old Enid resident will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 16, 2025, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eddie was born January 4, 1949, in Enid to James and Betty (Reed) Butts. He passed on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in his home here in Enid. He attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1967. He attended and graduated from Phillips University with a BA in business with an emphasis on marketing. He worked with the Enid News and Eagle, Halliburton, and as well as with Vance Air Force Base as a purchasing manager. He retired in August of 2014.
Eddie was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed baseball, football and traveling to different major league ballparks and stadiums. He also enjoyed attending spring-training. Eddie was a long-time Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his sister Betty Ann Butts of Enid, his brother John Butts and wife Janet of Katy, TX, two nephews, one niece, and one great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
