ENID, OK - Enid High School is thrilled to welcome Mark Berokoff to the Plainsmen Basketball team as the head coach.
The Enid Board of Education approved unanimously the hire at a special board meeting held this morning. His duties will begin May 4.
"I couldn’t be happier to have Coach Berokoff joining us,” said Robb Mills, Enid Public Schools Athletic Director. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to the court, and when you pair that with the solid group of players we have coming back, the future of Plainsmen Basketball looks bright. I’m ready to see how far we can grow. Go Big Blue!"
Berokoff has extensive coaching experience ranging from the high school, college, and professional levels. He began his career in California coaching high schools with a career record of 225-77. He has since served at the head coach and athletic director for men’s basketball at Randall University from 2012-2021, the head coach of men’s basketball at Oklahoma City University from 2021-2025, and most recently as the assistant coach of men’s basketball at the University of Portland. He earned three NCCAA National Championships at Randall University in 2016, 2017, and 2018 as well as National Coach of the Year twice, in 2016 and 2019.
Berokoff expressed his enthusiasm to build the Plainsmen program, saying, “With a deep commitment to player development, competitive excellence, and the holistic growth of student-athletes, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the Plainsmen basketball program.”
Berokoff has an undergraduate degree from Regis University in Business Administration and a masters from Randall University in Public Administration.
Berokoff is married to Staci and together they have a daughter, Jacinda.
