Funeral services for Marcelyn McGuar, 87, will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in McGuire Cemetery, east of Lucien. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening, 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.

Marcelyn was born January 21, 1931 in Marshall, Oklahoma to Marvin and Hallie Faye Branen and died on May 19, 2018 in Enid.

She attended Covington school and graduated from Hayward High School. On July3, 1952, Marcelyn married Don McGuar in Covington, OK and they had two daughters. She worked for Northrup at Vance Air Force Base for 30 years, before retiring. Marcelyn was a member of Emmanuel Church in Enid, and Thunderbird Camping Club. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Marcelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson, Brice Crow.

She is survived by her husband, Don of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Marsha and Rick Moritz of Perry, and Sherry and Alan Dalrymple of Enid; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two sisters, Gay Casteel of Enid, and Marva Lang of Eldorado, Arkansas; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
