Family Farm Day, October 30

ENID, OK - The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center’s annual fall favorite, Family Farm Day will be held in Humphrey Heritage Village on Saturday, October 30th from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Family Farm Day celebrates our rich heritage of farming in the Cherokee Strip. “Agriculture is such an important part of our identity in western Oklahoma. It’s part of the story of how we survived in this part of the country and it’s part of the story of how we prospered. But, it’s also easy for us in the hustle of modern life to be disconnected from our farming heritage. We want to bridge that gap,” said museum director, Jake Krumwiede.

Family Farm Day activities include seed planting, butter making, corn shelling, wheat milling, wood turning, and these farm related activities:

Farm animal petting zoo
Pumpkin patch
Pumpkin decorating
Caramel apples
and MUCH MORE!

At 2 p.m. there will be a homemade pie auction with the proceeds to benefit the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.

Family Farm Day is included in museum admission.
