Roger Wayne Armstrong

December 26, 1945 - October 23, 2021

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Roger Wayne Armstrong, 75, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday October 27, 2021, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Miller officiating under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Roger was born December 26, 1945, to Thomas Henry and Dorothy Marie Armstrong in Saint Jo Missouri and passed from this life October 23, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated with his six siblings in St. Joe and in Loveland, Colorado. He married his wife of fifty-four years Hilda “Louise” Schaefer May 16, 1967 in Loveland, Colorado. He worked in the construction industry, raised horses, worked in a feed lot and as a ranch foreman. He was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, building muscle cars, and loved being outside. In 2012 the couple moved to Enid, Oklahoma to be near family.

He is survived by his wife Louise, of the home, his daughters Toma and husband Ronnie Hakel, Lori and husband Joe Lopez Tambunga, Jr, and Kari Louise Armstrong and her four children (3 sons 1 daughter); other grandchildren, Jessica Briix (Jason) Elizabeth Armstrong, William LeRoy Armstrong, Michael Hakel, Holly Watkins, Kellie Hakel Shelby Armstrong-Tambunga, Selena Tambunga, JoAnn Tambunga, Joshua Tambunga; great grandkids, Christopher Steven Brown, Damion Lee Smith, Aiden Wayne Smith, Anthony Biirx, Katelyn Briix, and Rebecca Briix; two sisters, and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brother.
