Zetta Lois Oswald

The funeral for Zetta Lois Oswald, 90 year-old Enid resident is being held at 2:00PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Willow View United Methodist Church. Officiating the services is Reverend Mark McAdow. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Zetta was born May 5, 1930 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Velvie and Mary "Edna" (White) Huffman and passed on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Golden Oaks Nursing Home. The family moved to Enid when she was two months old. She attended Harrison Elementary, Emerson Jr. High and Enid High School, graduating with the class of 1948. She graduated from Enid Business College in 1972. She worked six and a half years at Southwestern Bell Telephone, Trade-Mart, Singer Steel, and 12 years at Speed-Star, part-time at Kentucky Fried Chicken, and George E. Failing Company. She was also a teacher’s aide for many years. Zetta accepted Jesus as her Savior in October of 1944, joining United Brethren Church, then was baptized on March 21, 1948.

In July of 1954, she married Randall D. Oswald. Zetta loved to crochet. Her entire family now has many afghans, doilies, and cross bookmarks from her. Zetta's crochet cross bookmarks are in over 40 countries on all seven continents.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley May and husband Elmo of Sayre, OK and Patsy Sands and husband Jim of Enid; sons, Wendall Oswald and wife Debbie of Enid and John Oswald of Phoenix, AZ; daughter-in-law, LaDonna Oswald of Wharton, TX; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren as well as brother, Eugene Huffman of Enid and brother-in-law Harold Goins of Enid.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Velma Faye Goins, brother, Harlan Wayne Huffman; sons, Kendall and Michael Oswald and great-grand daughter Taryn Elise Keith.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to the Wounded Warriors.
