Saturday, February 7th, 1987 - Friday, September 16th, 2022

A Celebration of Life for Weston Thomas Cassody, age 35, of Covington, will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Weston was born February 7, 1987 in Enid, Oklahoma to Thomas and Sherry (Wehling) Cassody, and passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Weston attended Covington-Douglas High School, graduating in 2006. He loved being a farmer and everything John Deere Green. He loved to check on his farm crops, especially when it was something different, like corn and soy beans. Around the age of 6 or 7 the family was talking at the dinner table about where we could go for a few days of vacation. Weston said “I have an idea, let’s go to Garber and look at all the anhydrous ammonia tanks!” Weston enjoyed going to Iowa where the John Deere combines and tractors are built; grandma and grandpa wanted to go too. Grandma Deloris took Weston to the water park and went down the water slide. On the way home, Weston wanted to know if grandma was going to tell mom that she tried to drown him today.

Weston loved to eat and would ask mom daily what was for supper and making suggestions what could be picked up in Enid. He was known to drive to grandmothers and check to see who was having the better supper. Weston had a kind heart and was always thinking of others. He would call his grandmothers daily to check on them. His memory was remarkable; he would always know the dates of any special occasions. We were never sure if Weston liked rap music or just played it to irritate his mom and dad.

Weston, since you are up there, tell God to bring rain and supervise dad on his farming skills.

Weston, we will miss your sense of humor and your “Weston-isms”, your laughter, kindness and compassion for others. We love you.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Sherry, of the home in Covington; brother, Garrett Cassody and wife Bruna, of Enid; maternal grandparents, Mike and Deloris Castor, of Enid; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Cassody, of Enid; uncle Terry Wehling and Peggy, of Enid; aunt, Patti Henderson, of Edmond, OK; aunt Janet and uncle John Chelf, of Bixby, OK; aunt Connie Herlihy, of Bixby, OK; as well as numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rex Lee Wehling and paternal grandfather, Robert Thomas Cassody.
