Vicki Louise Clark-Griffith

Vicki-Clark-Griffith-1451398811Vicki Louise Clark-Griffith of Sharon, OK, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on December 28, 2015 at her sister’s home in Enid, OK. She was 66.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Sharon under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Minister Debbie Kerr will officiate the services along with niece Asia Frye. No viewing will take place but friends may call on the family Friday January 8, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the family home in Sharon.

The daughter of James Lowell and Mary Sue (Morgan) Clark, Vicki was born Oct. 5 1949, in Alva, OK. She lived on the family homestead farm near Carmen, OK and later moved to Alva, where she graduated from Alva High School with the class of 1967. Vicki attended Northwestern Oklahoma State College.

Vicki was united in marriage to Tom Fisher on June 16, 1967. They lived in Buffalo Oklahoma where daughter Eleni Jo was born. They moved to Woodward the summer before Eleni started the 4th grade. Vicki and Tom were later divorced but they remained good friends.

Vicki worked in the clerical and office field for local businesses over the years including W.R. Grace & Co., where she met her future husband Don Griffith. She and Don were married on Feb 7, 1987. They made their home in Woodward and Vicki continued working until their son Mac Donald was born. They moved to Sharon before Mac started grade school. Vicki started working for the Sharon-Mutual Elementary School when Mac was in the 4th grade. She started as a Teachers Aide and then ran the School Library until her retirement in 2013. Vicki really enjoyed opening young minds to the wonder of books.

Vicki led an active life with her family, pets, and friends as the focus of her outreach. Vicki loved caring for her beloved cats Cowley and Zeke and her many other pet children over the years. She enjoyed working in her gardens, reading, and supporting her children’s local school events along with their college sporting events. She was extremely talented and skilled with her craftwork and her gifts from the heart. She loved to share working on her crafts with friends and enjoyed even more gifting her craft work to family and friends for special occasions. Vicki was also proud of her involvement and support of the local Cystic Fibrosis fundraising efforts.

She is survived by husband Don Griffith of Sharon, OK; one daughter, Eleni Jo Fisher-Sutton and husband Dub of Glenpool, OK; one stepson, Daniel Kahn Griffith of Oklahoma City, OK; one son and future daughter-in-law, Mac Donald Griffith and fiancé Kylie Graves of Wichita, KS; one sister, Margaret Ann Clark-Hunter of Enid, OK; step mother-in-law June Griffith of Woodward, OK; brother-in-law Pat Griffith and wife Sandra of Gage, OK; sister-in-laws Sandi Kliewer and husband Art of Enid, OK; Mona Ford of Mooreland, OK; “adopted son” Kris Nelson and wife Jessica of Sharon, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Velma Lee (Skeeter) Griffith, father-in-law Melvin D. Griffith, and brother-in-law, Dr. John R. (Red) Hunter.

Memorial contributions may be made in Vicki’s memory to the Circle of Love Hospice of Enid, the Enid S.P.C.A., W.O.O.F.
