Tesoro (Tess) Kisner-Gregory

January 05, 1930 - November 21, 2022

Tesoro (Tess) Pierson Kisner Gregory was born on January 5, 1930 to Roy E. and Maude Johnson Pierson at her grandmother's house in Enid, Oklahoma and entered the gates of heaven on November 21, 2022.

She was raised on a farm northwest of Pond Creek, Oklahoma where she attended school until her family moved to Enid in 1943. In that year she joined Central Christian Church which has been her church home since that time. In high school she was a member of the Legionettes Drum and Bugle Corp where she made many lifelong friendships.

After graduating from Enid High School in 1947 she then attended Oklahoma State University. It was during this time that she met and married her high school sweetheart, Bill W. Kisner. They were married in 1949 and later gave birth to their two children. He preceded her in death in 1982. In 1990 she married Robert L. Gregory and they enjoyed their golden years together with trips around the world. Mr. Gregory died in 2014.

She was active in many organizations throughout her lifetime including the Garfield County Home Demonstration club, Garfield County Choral Club, Cherry Cherry red ladies volunteers at St. Mary's Hospital, Jaycee Jaynes, Eisenhower School PTA and room mother, Garfield County Democratic Women's Club, Central Christian Church Sooner Sunday School Class and Christian Women's Fellowship, Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority and a local Garden Club and Study Club, holding offices in most of these organizations. She retired from twenty-five years of service with the Northrop Corporation at Vance Air Force Base.

Tess is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her son-in-law Court Loomis and several cousins.

She is survived by her brother, Gene Pierson of Corpus Christi, her children Brad (Jane) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Klista Loomis of Trophy Club, Texas; her grandchildren Evan Kisner (Kimberly Martin) and Sarah (Trace) Holland as well as her great grandchildren Leah, Siah, Ryan, Emma and Connor all of Corpus Christi. In addition she is survived by Bob Gregory's children Mary Gregory of Los Angeles, California and Rob Gregory of Enid and his three grandchildren Megan, Bobby and Liam as well a host of cousins, friends and family members throughout the country whom she delighted in keeping in touch regularly by phone.

Graveside services will be held at Enid's Memorial Park Cemetery at a future date. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church, 1111 W. Broadway, Enid, OK 73703.
