A Memorial Service for Teresa Gay (Hilgendorf) Sanders, age 57, of Lahoma, is 10:00 am, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Lahoma with Pastor Steve Campbell officiating. Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Teresa was born February 26, 1964 in Paxton, Illinois to James and Betty Lou (Mabis) Hilgendorf, and passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Lahoma.
She graduated from the College of Southern Idaho in 1996 with a degree in nursing. She worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma for several years before relocating to Illinois. She married Robert Sanders on February 24, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have two children Brent and Cassie. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, and her pets.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Johnny Hilgendorf. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home in Lahoma; son Brent Sanders, of Lahoma; daughter, Cassie Kopetzky and husband Eric, of Enid; two brothers, James Brank and Michael Brank, two sisters, Debbie Fender and Donna Roberts as well as five grandchildren, Abby, Silas, Samantha, Benjamin, and Alexander.
