ENID, OK - Due to expected wet and cooler weather this weekend, the Early Childhood Coalition, Northern Oklahoma College and its partners, have decided to move the FREE Superhero Saturday Family Fun Event to April 12, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM and ending with a free lunch from 11 AM - NOON. This celebration caps off the “Week of the Young Child,” which is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). “The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs,” said Cheila Armour, Early Childhood Coordinator, CDSA.
The fun begins at 9 AM with free Putt-Putt, Paddle Boats, games, and fun activities for the whole family.
Jeremy Hise, Vice President of NOC Enid, stated, “This is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together. We will provide continuing education and health-related information, distribute goodie bags, and offer healthy activities for everyone. Parents will have the chance to learn about job opportunities, receive career advice, explore continuing education options, and find out about scholarship opportunities. Together, we aim to address challenges, eliminate barriers, and create opportunities for the entire family.”
In addition to all the activities, several agencies will be there sharing information and providing giveaways, games and much more.
