The funeral service for Roy V. Hildebrand, 102, of Enid, will be 1:00 PM, Monday September 15, 2025, at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements made by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Roy was born on August 15, 1923, to Jesse Valden and Oma (Ellison) Hildebrand in Delhi, Oklahoma and passed away on September 9, 2025, in Enid.
He graduated from Delhi High School. Roy married Frances LaVerne Moran on August 28, 1943, and they had 4 children together: Dwayne Hildebrand, Vicki Hildebrand Lefler, Roy Hildebrand, and Scott Hildebrand. Roy worked for several railroad companies which include the Santa Fe, Rock Island Railroad, Frisco Railroad, and Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a switch foreman and conductor for the railroad until he retired.
Roy is survived by his two sons Dwayne and Roy Gene Hildebrand; six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances LaVerne Hildebrand; daughter Vicki Sharon Hildebrand Lefler; and son Scott Hildebrand.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to New Hope United Methodist Church.
