Rick Combs

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Richard (Rick) Combs, 76, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday February 27, 2018 in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Pastor Wade Burleson will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born on January 14, 1942 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Dewey Combs and Mattie Lou Willingham and passed from this on February 22, 2018 at his home north of Enid.

He was raised in Checotah, Oklahoma. He met his wife, Darlene in Little Rock, Arkansas while working for IBM and moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1972 to begin a new business.

Rick was the owner of PDQ printing since 1972. He and his wife Darlene ran the business together until Rick’s health became bad. He retired and continued to farm.

He loved his wife, children, grandchildren ad Jesus most of all. Some of his other loves were OU football, his farm, his special breed of cows—Salers, being with friends and family, and the people of Enid, Oklahoma. More than anything he loved to hear stories about his grandchildren and their accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife Darlene; son, Wes Combs and wife, Michelle of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Kristie Manning and husband Bruce of Owasso, Oklahoma and grandchildren, Hunter, Haley and Macade.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
