Pauline Gipson, 86, of Madisonville, TX, formerly from Enid, went to be with her Lord and Savior and her Heavenly Home May 16, 2020. She was born November 16, 1933 to Elmer and Lillie May (Moudy) Ashbrook in Wichita Falls, TX. Pauline graduated from high school in Archer City, Texas in 1953. She married Johnnie L. Gipson, July 18, 1953. They had two sons, Wendell Ray Gipson, September 20 1954, and James Weldon Gipson, December 2, 1955. Pauline played the piano for church for many years. She was saved and baptized along with her twin sister. The family moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1961, with an oil company from Wichita Falls, Texas.

She worked as a telephone operator her junior and senior years in high school. Pauline worked as a dispatcher and switchboard operator for 37 years in Enid. She retired in April 2007 from Life Emergency Medical Service as a dispatcher for 14 years. In 1997, she won the Dispatcher of the Year from Oklahoma Emergency Medical Technicians Association of Oklahoma. It was the highlight of her career. Pauline also dispatched for Mobilefone for 9 years, Corwin and Hauth Oil Construction, Chapparral Transportation and others. Her happiest years were raising her sons and enjoying them play sports in school and raising them to always put God first. She had many wonderful friends who she enjoyed spending time.

Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie L. Gipson; son, Wendell Gipson; twin sister, Alline Russell; grandson, James Gipson; 3 brothers, and both parents.

She is survived by her son, James Weldon Gipson and his wife Susan; granddaughter, Alex Gipson- Mills and her husband Jeff, Kristina Gipson; grandsons, John Gipson and his friend Brent, Robert Gipson and his wife Tara; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Pauline will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, with Reverend Jerry Holt officiating. Visitation will be held 10 - 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Ladusau- Evans Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
