One time Enid resident Doug Pethoud has been busy since leaving his position with Continental Resources. He's become an executive movie producer among other things. Pethoud and his family currently live near Seiling, OK but Doug grew up around Enid and raised his family here for many years.

Enid is playing an important role in the latest film produced by Pethoud. Oakwood Mall will premiere “Last Ounce of Courage” at 7pm tonight, Sept. 11. "Last Ounce of Courage," the freedom, family and faith film that honors our military men and women and the freedoms for which they fought, will be premiering nationally in more than 500 theaters across America in commemoration of Patriot Day, prior to opening on more than 1,200 screens Sept. 14.

“Last Ounce of Courage” is the story of a small town that begins taking a stand as they awaken to the realization that their freedoms have been taken from them one by one over many years.  We are hopeful that this story will inspire more and more people to begin taking a stand for the liberties that were granted in the Constitution by our founding fathers.  A portion of the profits from the film will go toward several organizations that assist veterans.

A trailer for the film can be found on the website www.lastouncethemovie.com, and a little bit about Pethoud's company, Veritas Entertainment, can be found at www.veritashq.com. Veritas Entertainment is a film company dedicated to making films with a purpose. Filmmaking excellence and themes of courage, character and conviction are the core elements of the company's endeavors.

This is a little film with a big heart and a veteran cast, including Marshall Teague, Jennifer O'Neill, Jenna Boyd, Rusty Joiner and Fred Williamson, and includes music by Vince Gil, Michael O'Martian and Justin Unger.

Pethoud would like for as many people as possible to have a chance to see this film, because he believes it has the power to change hearts back to a love for our country and the sacrifices of the men and women who have given much or all to preserve it.

Get out for a family movie night and support another Enid entrepreneur!!
