Morris was born May 12, 1929 in a one room house along the Big Sandy near Byron, OK. He was the second child of George Monroe “Jack” and Lena Emily (Walton) Foraker.

It wasn’t long before his family moved to Cleo Springs. He attended school there and graduated in 1947. He and his mom, dad and sister had a Gospel quartet and sang at some events in their local area. They even made a record of their family singing. He met his first wife, Betty Jean Hedrick, while in school at Cleo. They married March 20, 1947 and had three children, Linda Lea, Roger Merle and Randy Paul. After working for a construction crew and traveling around the state, he went to work for OG&E and the family moved to Enid where they stayed until 1964. They then moved to Garber where he was active in the Garber community as Boy Scout Leader, a member of Garber Rotary Club and Enid Shriners.

After his father died, he made the decision to be baptized at the Garber Christian Church. Later, OG&E offered him jobs in Moore and Sulphur. He was the manager at the OG&E office in Sulphur when he retired after 37 years of service. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After his retirement, he and Betty bought a travel trailer and enjoyed spending winters in South Texas. He enjoyed watching birds and had a bird feeder wherever he was staying, at home or in another state. Betty passed in 2000 and on October 26, 2000 he married Ramona Miller, a friend he had known since living in Cleo Springs. Ramona passed away in 2010. On October 22, 2011, he married another longtime friend, Louise Holt from Garber. Morris passed away February 28, 2016 in Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris and her husband, Warren Baxter.

Morris is survived by his wife, Louise; children, Roger Foraker and wife, Sandra; Linda (Foraker) Cinnamon and husband, Lonnie, all of Garber; Randy Foraker and wife, Vicki of OKC. He was an active part in the lives of his seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Garber Christian Church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
