MercyMe in Enid

MERCYME COMING TO ENID EVENT CENTER ON SEPTEMBER 27

Global Spectrum has added another outstanding show to its line-up of activities for Enid Event Center as American Christian rock band MercyMe will perform one show on Friday, September 27 at 7 pm.

Tickets, priced at $20, $35 and $50, will go on sale Friday, June 28 at 10 am by calling 855-TIX-ENID or online at EnidEventCenter.com. Pre-sale will begin on Wednesday, June 26 at 10 am and if you like the Enid Event Center and Convention Hall Facebook page you will receive the pre-sale code.

“MercyMe is a Christian group that has crossed over into mainstream music and music fans know and love,” Keller Taylor, General Manager for Global Spectrum at Enid Event Center, said. “Having MercyMe join our first year’s line-up shows the wide range of music artists that Enid can draw and will give Enid and area residents a great family friendly show they will be excited about.”

MercyMe is an American Christian rock band founded in Greenville, Texas. The group first gained mainstream recognition with the single, "I Can Only Imagine" which helped their debut album, Almost There, to double platinum certification. Since then, the group has released 6 additional studio albums, 4 of which have been certified gold. MercyMe has had 13 consecutive top 5 singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, with 7 of them reaching #1. The group has won 8 Dove Awards and has had numerous Grammy Award nominations. There newest album, The Hurt and The Healer, was released on May 22, 2012. The album debuted at #7 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 33,000 copies.

The Sean Gallagher Band is from Enid, OK and released their debut album Simple Words featuring all original songs in October 2010.  Sean returned to Oklahoma in 2008 after spending three years in New Mexico, to head college ministry and lead worship for all weekend service at Enid First Assembly in Enid, OK.
