Memorial For Paul Allen Set For May 4

ENID, OK - Local businessman Paul Allen passed away on Sunday, April 13. The Memorial celebration to honor Paul’s life will be held at Noon on Sunday, May 4 at David Allen Memorial Ballpark with Reverend Dr. John Toles of St. Mathews’ Episcopal Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

The family asks that attendees wear whatever ballpark attire makes them comfortable.

Paul co-founded Advance Foods which became AdvancePierre and was eventually purchased by Tyson Foods. He was also involved in bringing No Mans Land Beef Jerky to Enid.

Among other recognitions, Paul has in the past been chosen as Enid’s Business Person of the Year and as Pillar of the Plains Citizen of the Year. He was voted into the Enid Hall of Fame and the Enid Public Schools Hall of Fame. In 2018, Paul was elected to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

His legacy lives on in projects like the David Allen Memorial Ballpark and the Advance Soccer Complex just to mention a few. Paul was also a great champion for entrepreneurs and would speak at the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Entrepreneur Seminar Series.
