Graveside service for Maxine Smith, 85 of Jet will be Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:30 am in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Lyle Buller officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.
Maxine was born on August 14, 1939 in Enid, Oklahoma to Max W. Humphrey, Sr and Lillian (Blocker) Humphrey and passed away July 24, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas, following a brief illness.
She grew up in Enid. On March 4, 1961, Maxine married Jerry Smith and they had two sons. Maxine and Jerry had a painting business for many years. She later was a caregiver in homes. After Jerry’s passing, Maxine married Bruce Ratzlaff. She was a member of Jet Christian Church. Maxine enjoyed playing dominos with her friends. She enjoyed being with her family, especially as a mother, sister and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents; and brother, Max Humphrey, Jr.
She is survived by husband, Bruce Ratzlaff; two sons, Darin Smith and wife, Sharla of Fairview, Oklahoma and Monty Smith and wife, Renea of Trout, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Lilly Ellis and Debbie Martin; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
