Leadell Darlene Kuhnemund Grauberger

January 5, 1927 - July 23, 2025

A Celebration of Life Service for Leadell Darlene Grauberger, 98 of Enid, will be on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma, OK with Rev. Randy Foote officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Leadell was born on January 5, 1927, near Lahoma to John F Kuhnemund and Marie A (Rathjen) Kuhnemund and passed away on July 23, 2025. She was baptized on January 16, 1927, at Zion Lutheran Church by Reverend Roosel and confirmed at Zion on May 5, 1940. She graduated from Lahoma High School where she played basketball.

Leadell worked for 5 years at General Hospital in Enid, as a machine posting operator. She then did in-home daycare for several years. She loved taking care of children. She met the love of her life, LeRoy, while she was working at the hospital. They married on November 24, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma, OK. They had been married for 50 years. Leadell was a lifetime member at Zion Lutheran Church, and she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.

She is survived by her children, Dale Grauberger and wife Brenda, Julie and husband Douglas Lovell; grandchildren Cale and Gretchen Grauberger; Great-grand children Kayla Briggs, Kenzie Grauberger, Kloee Grauberger, Bennett HySmith, and Bradford Grauberger; Great-great-grandchildren Kayden Briggs, Kyzer Briggs, and Kash Briggs.

She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, her parents John and Marie Kuhnemund, and all her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Kenneth and wife LaVerna, Vernon and wife Wynona, Velma Jean and husband Delmar Kehn, John Jr. and wife Cynthia, Marcella and husband Glen Dykes, and two sisters who died shortly after birth: LaVila June and Marylyn Jane.

The family would like to thank The Commons and Hospice Circle of Love for their extra special care of Leadell.

Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
