The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Mary Evelyn Wilson, 94, of Enid, will be held privately.
Mary was born July 6, 1932, to Elmer and Elsie (Patterson) Shumate in Topeka, Kansas and passed from this life October 4, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Wichita, Kansas graduating from North High School. After graduating she married Harvey Lee Wilson, and from this union came two children. While her children were growing up, she began working as a cook in the school system and continued after they were grown, retiring in 1994. After retirement she and her husband traveled for several years living in their 5th wheel camper. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, sewing and gardening. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Guinn, of Enid; four grandchildren, Tina LeRoy, Anna Picone, Philip Picone and Jacie Cox; 15 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Along with 2 siblings Pam Fivecoats and Charles Shumate.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey L. Wilson and her son Myron L.Wilson. Along with 2 siblings John Wesley Shumate and Helen Wilson.
