A celebration of life for Mary will take place on Friday, August 21st at 2:00 P.M. in the Henninger-Hinson funeral home chapel.
Mary Leath Lovingier Smith of Enid, Ok passed away at home on July 21, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born on June 11, 1942 to Carl and Josephine (Chaney) Lovingier in Enid, OK.
Mary grew up in Ringwood, OK and after graduating from Ringwood High School in 1960 , she worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company in Liberal, KS. In later years while living in Enid she worked for Collins and Butler.
Mary was united in marriage to Ronald Smith on October 14,1961. They were married for 30 years and were divorced in February 1992. They were blessed with two daughters, Kerry and Ronda.
Mary loved the mountains. Three of her favorite trips were to Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole, WY where she saw the Grand Tetons and a trip to Oregon in 2018. She loved Sooner Football and the OKC Thunder.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Josephine Lovingier, sisters, Lavon Talley, Joan Murphy and Barbara Julian.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Kerry Lynn Benson (Brian) of Supply NC, Ronda Jo Smith of Mustang, OK and nieces Mary Louise Woods of Ringwood OK and Kathy Guard of Piedmont, OK., grand-daughters Nicole and Abigail and grandsons David, Jason, Christian, great-grandsons Keaton, Brighton and Kannon.
