Marvin Gene Burchfield, Jr.

Celebration of life services for Marvin Gene Burchfield, Jr., 59, Enid resident, will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Marvin was born on October 18, 1960 in Aurora, Colorado, the son of Marvin, Sr., and Judith Ann Rainey Burchfield, and passed away on December 17, 2019 in Enid. Marvin was brought up in a military environment, Air Force to be specific. So, he lived in several different states in a short amount of time. Marvin finished his education in Enid after his father’s retirement. Marvin worked for Champlin and received his higher education through them until they moved and merged with Union Pacific Resources. He also held a job at Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth, Texas. After completing his education, Marvin furthered his career by working for IBM as a systems analyst. He moved back to Enid when he became too sick to care for himself.

Marvin had no spouse or children. Computers were his first love and he worked with them all his life.

Marvin is survived by his mother, Judith Burchfield, Kimberly Zgavec, Barbara Burchfield and Tammy (Dennis) Beard, all of Enid. Marvin was preceded in passing by his father, Marvin, Sr. Memorial donation checks may be made payable to MS Foundation with Stittsworth as custodian.
