Marlene J Wofford

A Celebration of Life for Marlene J Wofford, 82, of Enid will be Monday, January 30, 2017, 2:00 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Burleson and Chaplain Bill King officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 7 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Marlene was born March 27, 1934 in Woodward, Oklahoma the daughter of Harold and Alberta Stoner Strunk Sr. and passed away January 26, 2017.

Marlene was a graduate of Sharon High School. She was a United States Air Force wife for over 23 years. Marlene was employed for over 23 years at TG&Y until their closing and then was employed by Walmart as a department manager for over 21 years. She dearly loved her customers and enjoyed helping them with their sewing needs. She and her companion Herman delivered medications to many area nursing homes for Pharmcare. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and an honorary member of the Abate Motorcycle Club. She helped serve many dinners for the Shriners Club of Enid. She was an avid collector of Rooster figurines, enjoyed sewing and crafts of all kinds. Marlene loved to travel with Herman to many different states, especially the summers in Colorado and winters in Texas. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a great friend to all.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Brenton of Enid, two sons, Paul Brenton of Enid and Terry Brenton of Vinita, Oklahoma, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Donnie Strunk and his wife Donna of Enid and Harold (Jay) Strunk Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Newcastle, Oklahoma and one sister, Theo Jean Kouri of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her companion of sixteen years, Herman Buczinski and his children, her adopted son, Jason Miller of Enid and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Joyce, two brothers and a grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Enid Shrine Hospital Transportation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. Online condolences may be left and viewing of the service at www.ladusauevans.com.
