Local Teen Creates Game App

GARBER, OK - If you've ever used a smartphone, then you're probably familiar with the term: app. You've used apps for social media, texting, emailing, etc. and these apps have become a huge part of your daily schedule. Since apps are so easy to download, it's easy to forget just how much work must go into creating the perfect app for your busy lives.

Brett Severin, 17, is a senior at Garber High School. During the summer before his freshman year, he became fascinated with the development of apps and began exploring the art of computer programming. After three years of hard work, this interest lead him to create and launch his first app, Bouncy Balls, for both iOS and Android devices.

Bouncy Balls is a free to download game app that challenges your hand-eye coordination. Starting with one ball, the player begins to bounce the ball, without letting it hit the bottom. As the player's score increases, more balls begin to appear. The player can choose from multiple colors to customize the screen, allowing a wide variety of colorful gameplay.
-
Bouncy Balls has been in the Apple App Store for iOS devices since March 7 of this year. It has been downloaded more than 500 times in more than 30 countries.
-
After a summer of coding, Bouncy Balls is receiving an update today, as well as a worldwide launch into the Google Play and Amazon app stores for Android devices. This release increases compatibility to more than 10,000 phones and tablets.
