KOCO to feature Vance AFB during its On The Road Tour on Thursday, Oct. 3

KOCO-TV, Oklahoma City, is in Enid today to feature Vance Air Force Base as part of its annual On The Road series.

News anchors Jessica Schambach and Paul Folger are a part of the KOCO team in Enid broadcasting the 5 pm and 6 pm Eyewitness Newscasts from the plaza area outside Enid’s historic Convention Hall, 301 S Independence. KOCO is inviting the public to come to Convention Hall to witness the live broadcasts. (In case of inclement weather, the broadcasts will be moved inside to Enid Event Center, 302 S Grand.)

Feature stories will be done on Vance AFB as well as on the City of Enid’s partnership with the base and on the Veterans Day dedication of the 80 percent replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall at Enid Woodring Regional Airport.

This year’s On The Road theme is Salute to Service, featuring Oklahoma and the military. Monday they were at Altus AFB. Tuesday will be in Lawton at Fort Sill, Wednesday at Tinker AFB in Midwest City and Friday will be at the 45th Infantry Museum in Oklahoma City.

The KOCO Road Show last came to Enid in 2011 and broadcast live from Humphrey Heritage Village at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.

The Enid Convention & Visitors Bureau is also giving you a chance to enter their drawing for two OU-TCU tickets to be given away at 6:30pm. Must be present to win.
