Kim Daughhetee passed away on February 28, 2022 in Enid, Oklahoma with her wife by her side. Kim was born on May 31, 1971 in Alva, Oklahoma to Kenneth Daughhetee Sr and Carmalita Daughhetee. She grew up in Burlington, Oklahoma graduating high school in 1989. She moved to Enid to pursue an education in surgical technology at Autry Technology Center, graduating in 1994. She went on to work as a surgical technologist and later as the central sterile supervisor at St. Mary’s hospital in Enid. During this time, Kim also served as president of the Briggs Lions club, later served as chairman of the board, and also President of the Eye Bank.
In 2004 Kim was given the honor of being asked to take over the Surgical Tech program at Autry, which she gladly accepted and had been teaching for the past 19 years until her passing. In 2012, Kim met her true sole mate and love of her life, Kelsey Stephen. They were married on Jan 2, 2015 in Enid, Oklahoma. They spent their time sharing a love and passion for music, animals, art, traveling and so much more. Their favorite place was Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where she learned how to scuba dive, but mostly loved the scenery. Her favorite time was driving the roads, with the dogs hanging out the window, fresh mountain air in her face and listening to music. S
he was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Carmalita Daughhetee, as well as 3 of 6 of her furbabies, Jack, Jake and Wilbur, and Grandpa LeRoy Stephen.
She is survived by her Wife, Kelsey Stephen of the home, their 3 Furbabies, Caimen, Jaxxon and Asher, as well as her Grandma, Barb Stephen of Phillipsburg Ks, Father In Law, Terry Stephen of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Brother In Law, Dakota Stephen and family of Ponca city Oklahoma, Brother Kenny Daughhetee Jr and family of Kiowa, KS, and Nephew Kenny Daughhetee III and family of Kremlin, Oklahoma and William "Bill" Dillon of Enid.
A memorial will be held on March 16th, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Hoover Building in Enid, Oklahoma with Reverend Kristi Balden officiating.
