Kevin Tharp

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Kevin Tharp, 59, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday June 1, 2021 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Gregory Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Kevin was born July 29, 1961 to Bobby Oan Tharp and Maxcine Lavone (Paige) Tharp in Cherokee, Oklahoma and passed from this life May 26, 2021 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was born in Cherokee Ok. He attended schools in Cherokee and Enid, and he attended Enid High School.

He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1979 and served two years as a Gunners Mate. In 1981 he returned to Enid and began working for Brown and Roupe. He then owned and operated a scrapping business for over thirty years. He also worked at various restaurants and at Advance Foods. He married Cynthia Luann (Pehl) Tharp on July 5, 1991 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was a simple man and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and absolutely lived for spending time with his10 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons; they were the shining light in his life.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, of the home; four sons Robert, Kevin Jr., Josh and Eddie; two daughters, Heather and Anastaisia; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; and one brother Gregory Tharp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Stacey Lynn Tharp.

Memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice Circle of Love or the American Cancer Society with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
