Joshua Taylor Gordon

OI425500136_JoshuaGordonPictureJoshua Taylor Gordon a resident of Oklahoma City passed away on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016. He was born in Oklahoma City, on November 23, 1988, in the Presbyterian Hospital. Shortly after he was born, he had three open heart surgeries, resulting in a donor valve on his heart. Joshua was expected to only live a short amount of time, but made it to 27 years old before he passed.

Joshua was the first born into a family of two, Michael Gordon and Jodi McIntire. He went to a few different schools in his life, including Enid High School for grades 9-11. Joshua always wanted to be part of the support for his country, always learning about what his dad did for a living and being a part of ROTC for four years. He may not have been able to physically support his country, but he always honored and supported the troops who could.

He held a Commercial Driver’s License and worked for both Denton, TX and Putnam City, OK School Districts as a school bus driver.

Joshua wouldn’t have it any other way, other than to be with his family and friends. Every year around the holidays he wanted everyone to be around and enjoyed every minute of the gatherings, especially Thanksgiving, being so close to his birthday.

Waiting in heaven were his great grandparents, 2 grandfathers, and a grandmother. He is survived by his Granny, Donna McIntire, his parents, Jodi McIntire, Michael Gordon, Sandy Henry-Gordon, Raul Garcia, brothers and sister, Brandon, Karston, and Sarah Gordon, great uncle, Stephen Terrell, and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family and extended families.

A small memorial service was held, in celebration of his life, at Lake Heffner, on June 5, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. After, we all joined in a family dinner with a symbolic meal ordered in his honor. Amy Stittsworth Funeral Services.
