John Richard Hermanski

A Celebration of Life service for John Hermanski age 90 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

John was born November 24, 1928 in Shreveport, LA to Edward P. and Helen (Moulton) Hermanski and passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital. John married Rae McCormick on September 4, 1948 in Enid at the First Baptist Church. John graduated from Enid High School in 1947. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher in the children department. He worked at Cromwell Press for over 70 years. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard for over 10 years. John was an avid golfer and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner football fan.

He is survived by his wife Rae, sons, Steve Hermanski and Tom (Ronda) Hermanski, granddaughter Rochelle McPherrin and her sons William and Patrick and grandson John (Sarah) Hermanski, and brother Jerry (Lynn) Hermanski, sisters, Rae (Terry) Decker, Jane (Charles) Chupco, Eva (John) Bumpus, and Jewell (Dale) Wingo and several other family members.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard and brother’s Edward and David.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Cancer Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
