James "Jim" Trojan

July 18, 1951 - October 3, 2022

The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating and honoring the life of James “Jim” Trojan 71, of Enid, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday October 8, 2022, in the Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Father John Herrera officiating. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. Friday October 7, 2022, at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church with his children officiating. Burial will follow in the Bison Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Jim was born July 18, 1951, to Ernest and Teresa Ann Vater Trojan in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life with his family by his side October 3, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Bison where he grew up working on the family farm and at the Trojan Family Nursery. He graduated from Waukomis High School with the class of 1969. He attended Oklahoma State University before transferring to Phillips University graduating in 1974 with his Bachelor’s in Accounting. He received his Master’s Degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University in 1975. He married Anita Daniels December 30, 1978, in Heavener, Oklahoma.

The couple moved to Enid in 1978. In 1980 he established Jim Trojan, CPA Accounting Firm. In 1996 he became a shareholder at Collins and Butler & Co, P.C. He had an incredible work ethic and truly thought of his clients like family.

He was a member of the Enid Noon Ambucs for more than 40 years, The Knights of Columbus, The Bison COOP, the OSU Spears School of Business Alumni Board, the Opportunity School board, St. Gregory’s Parish Council, serving as Treasurer, Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, a Boy Scout leader for Troop 15, a mentor for Enid High School Football team, and a founding member of Enid Public School Foundation. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending his grandchildren’s many activities, farming with his Dad and brothers, OSU Football and serving his church, family, friends, and clients.

He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church for 43 years; he was a strong man of faith.

He is survived by his wife Anita Trojan, of the home, one daughter Amy Thielke and husband Matthew, of Douglas, OK, two sons, Dr. Brandon Trojan and wife Sara, of Casper, WY, and Dr. Ryan Trojan and wife Kaci, of Edmond, OK; grandchildren Addilyn and Mallory Thielke, Keith and Lukis Trojan, Katie and Abby Trojan; brothers: David (Sharon), John (Kandy) and Mike (Becky) Trojan, nephews Dr. Tim Trojan (Jessie), Chris Trojan (Valerie), Kyle Huddleston (Rachel); niece Lacie Trojan; Aunt Doris Martini of Oklahoma City and brother and sister-in-law David and Kay Huddleston and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Teresa Ann Trojan and his in-laws Melvin and Paula Daniels.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Enid Noon Ambucs, AmTrykes, Our Daily Bread, or The Enid Public Schools Foundation with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
