James Berry

The Memorial Service Celebrating and Honoring the life of James Berry will be held privately. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

James Berry was born May 13, 1943 to Howard and Charlotte “Chew” Berry in Atchison, Kansas and passed from this life October 24, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

James was raised and educated in Atchison Kansas graduating from Atchison High School. He served in the United States Navy for six years where he liearned his trade for air conditioning and refrigeration and served in Vietnam. He married his wife of 55 years, Sharon, September 14, 1966 in Enid. He worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for thirty-five years where he retired in 2014.

James was the greatest husband, father, grandfather, and uncle in this world. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. A proud Veteran of the U.S Navy. He would help anybody in a time of need regardless of if he knew you or not.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sharon, son Shane Berry and spouse Sheryl Berry, son Dean Berry and spouse Connie Berry; grandson Trevor Berry, granddaughter Allissa Ross and spouse Chris Ferguson, Lena Berry granddaughter and great grandchildren Mackenzie Ross, Keaton Ross Christopher Ferguson, Aubrey Ferguson; Brother Kenny and Connie of Chandler Az; Brother Charlie and Joan Berry of San Diego and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Charlotte Berry; one sister Linda Hundley; and two great grandchildren Alexis and Aubrey Ross.
