Hootie & the Blowfish Announce New Album

Hootie & the Blowfish announced their first new album in nearly 15 years – IMPERFECT CIRCLE – out November 1st.

The preorder has started and fans can get early access to a first track, “Rollin'” available exclusively at Hootie.com, before it becomes available for purchase and streaming on September 6th.

Lead singer, Darius Rucker, was the first act to sell out the Stride Bank Center in March of 2014. The concert sold out at 3747 tickets. At one point in the Enid concert, Rucker stopped and asked the crowd if they remembered a little band called Hootie and the Blowfish. From that point on he mixed in most of the greatest Hootie hits.

Hootie & the Blowfish met while attending the University of South Carolina in Columbia in the late 1980s. They released Cracked Rear View in 1994. They won two Grammy’s – Best New Artist and Song of the Year by duo or group for “Let Her Cry.” They also took home an MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist for “Hold My Hand,” a Billboard Music Award for album of the year, a People’s Choice Award for Album of the Year and a People’s Choice Award for Best Selling Artist, a feat they duplicated in 1996.
