Holiday Volunteers Needed

ENID, OK - Volunteers are needed for Enid's big Christmas Opening Night! Please consider volunteering! This event can't happen without help from the community. This is a fun activity to do with your family, friends, community group, work buddies, etc. and you can still see the parade and lighting of the tree!

The One is a 42-day inclusive Christmas experience featuring events, performances, activities, and more, showcasing the 'Christ Tree' to bring memories and a sense of awe to the local community and visitors. The One officially kicks off on November 26, 2021, and comes to a close on Epiphany, January 6, 2022.

Here are the multiple ways you can volunteer:

Opening Night Greeter

Friday, November 26th
Volunteers will assist the out-of-town visitors around the downtown area.

Main Street Enid is organizing the Annual Enid Light Up the Plains event. There will be activities on the Garfield County Courthouse Lawn starting at 5:00. The Christmas Lights Parade will be around the Downtown Square at 6:00. After the parade, volunteers will usher the crowd to the stage near the Christ Tree. Community Choir performs at The One stage, on Park and Independence, at 6:30. The Ceremony Begins at 7:00. The Christ Tree Lighting and Park Avenue Thrift Fireworks are at 7:30. Volunteers will assist guest with questions and direct them to The One Stage in the Christ Tree area. Volunteers will be placed throughout the downtown area. There will be 20-25 stations and each station will need 2 or more volunteers. Youth can volunteer for the event. Each station must have at least one adult. This could be a great volunteer opportunity for a family, youth groups or group of friends.

Assist with Monitoring and Securing the Fireworks Ignition Area on Opening Night

Friday, November 26th
Assist with monitoring and securing the parameter of the Fireworks on Opening Night. For the safety of everyone it is important to monitor and secure the parking lot across the street, to the west of Convention Hall, where the Fireworks will be ignited. This volunteer shift will begin at 6:30 on Opening Night and will end 8:00.
