ENID, OK - Goodwill is currently preparing to move into Oakwood Mall. If all goes well they will be located in the former Big Lots/Spirit Halloween location down by the old JC Penney. No opening date has been given.
Spirit Halloween reportedly will move to the back of the mall in the old Goodies location.
Goodwill thrift stores are retail locations operated by the non-profit organization Goodwill Industries. They sell donated, used goods to the public, with the proceeds supporting Goodwill's mission of providing job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs.
Enid currently has several great local thrift stores that support the community by giving back.
Park Avenue Thrift exists to strengthen the Enid community and serve others by collecting donations, running a top-notch thrift store, and giving the proceeds to Enid nonprofits that invest in quality of life initiatives.
Return Engagement is the Junior Welfare League's store for new and nearly- new clothing and gifts. They carry women, men, children and baby clothing as well as specialty home decor, furniture, books, TVs and more. All proceeds raised through their store is invested back into our community programs enriching the community of Enid.
Hope Outreach is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and managed by paid staff and volunteers. It is a community supported nonprofit Christian ministry to provide ways to help people help themselves. Their mission is "Empowering People Towards Responsible Living".
The Salvation Army stores offer significant savings over retail prices. Proceeds for their thrift stores fund their Adult Rehabilitation Centers, which provide recovery programs across the county.
