Funeral services for Goldie Jean Watkins Nickels will be Monday, January 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jesse Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Aline Star Cemetery, Aline, Oklahoma.
Goldie Jean Watkins Nickels, age 92, entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2026, surrounded by peace and comfort.
She was born on January 14, 1934, to Alice Pearl Watkins and Charles E. Watkins and was the youngest of nine children. Goldie lived a long and meaningful life, grounded in faith, family, and dedication to those she loved.
Throughout her professional life, Goldie worked as an executive assistant for Kerr McKee. She was known for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and impeccable sense of style, always carrying herself with grace and dignity.
Goldie was a woman of faith who trusted in the Lord and found comfort in His promises. Her faith guided her life and was evident in the love, kindness, and strength she shared with others.
She is survived by her three daughters: Cynthia Hair and her husband Steve, Phyllis Crosswhite and her husband Kenny, and Suzanne Hershberger. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition, Goldie is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved and cherished her. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her unwavering faith, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
