Garry Wayne Hays was born on February 24, 1947, to Oakley
Hays and Doris Morrison Hays. He was the thirteenth of
fourteen children born into the Hays family. Garry attended
school in Garber, Oklahoma, where he enjoyed participating in
sports and spending time with friends. In 1969, he was drafted
into the United Stated Army and faithfully served his country
until 1971. After his military service, Garry spent many years in
California, where he worked in construction and enjoyed being
close to family. In 1994, he returned to Oklahoma and settled in
Enid with his wife, Karen, where they built a life together
surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Oakley and Doris
Hays; his grandparents; aunts and uncles; and many brothers
and sisters.
Garry is survived by his wife, Karen, his children, and many
cherished grandchildren, along with extended family and friends
who will miss him dearly.
Services for Garry will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 14, 2026
in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel, with Pastor Helmer Johnson officiating.
