    The Enid Frights Up the Plains Halloween festival will be held on the Garfield County Courthouse lawn Friday, October 31, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no fee to attend. The event consists of businesses, organizations, groups, or people that will have booths - preferably decorated - set up on the courthouse lawn where kids can trick or treat, costume contests, a Halloween Queen pageant, a best apple or pumpkin recipe contest, and a jack-o-lantern contest.   • Halloween Trick-or-Treating

    Trick-or-Treating in Enid is traditionally on Halloween night no matter what day of the week it falls on. The prime trick-or-treating times are typically 6-9pm. Homes with lights on will have usually have candy, homes that are dark most likely will not. This year Halloween is on Friday, October 31.

    Registration runs from 9am to 10:45am Saturday morning. Meet at the Woodring Wall of Honor. Join everyone afterwards on Saturday, Nov 1st to kick off Celebrate Freedom Week in Enid at the American Military Heritage Museum in Oakwood Mall for a ham and bean fundraiser to benefit our museum and veterans park.     Veterans are invited to a FREE luncheon. The speaker for the FREE veterans luncheon is Thomas Brower as he shares the story of Lt Col Kenneth Awtrey Brower's early years in Oklahoma honing skills that led to his survival during WWII. He was "on the run from enemy forces for 60 days. Luncheon sponsored by the AM AMBUCS and the First Baptist Church.
