David Mason Running for Mayor

ENID, OK – Enid resident and businessman, David Mason, today announced he intends to file on December 5th as a candidate for the office of mayor.

“After much consideration and encouragement from numerous people, I have decided to run for Mayor of Enid. I enjoyed my time serving as Ward 6 Commissioner and I hope to be able to be even more impactful as mayor. Enid has been an incredible community to raise a family, work, and call home.”

David Mason is a fourth generation Oklahoman; he obtained a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Secondary Educational Administration and had a career in education as a teacher. In 2003, Mason decided to pursue a career in insurance where he was quickly promoted to District Manager and Agency Point Manager.

Mason was Vice President of Dillingham Insurance Group before leaving to purchase his own agency. Mason is very active in the community, having served on the boards of CASA, Grand National Quail Club, Enid Rotary Club, Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, Public Arts Commission, and the 911 Board. He is a past President of the Enid Rotary Club and served as Ward 6 Commissioner.

“If elected, I plan to bring fresh solutions to help solve problems our city is facing in deteriorating infrastructure, continue to work on economic growth, and keep our citizens informed of what their city is doing for them.”
