Prior to his move to Ohio Goodwin taught art at Longfellow Middle School. We believe Goodwin is a great fit for the studio because of his background in art education and his familiarity with the art community in Oklahoma. Goodwin has worked with several art organizations including Oklahoma Arts Coalition, Oklahoma Contemporary, [Artspace] at Untitled, and Individual Artists of Oklahoma. We are thrilled to have him join our organization and are excited to support him as he works to continue and further the mission of Creative Arts Enid.

When asked about his plans for the studio, Goodwin said, "I am delighted and eager to be returning home to join the Creative Arts Team. My passion for art and education will be used to highlight art and create valuable art experiences. As a state certified arts educator, I am driven to further develop the art education programming within Creative Arts Enid. I also look forward to expanding on what art is and can become within Enid's community."

The previous Executive Director, Lisa Magyar, officially resigned the position effective May 18th.  Magyar’s husband is nearing retirement from the USAF and she plans to spend time focusing on family and her art.  Magyar wanted to make sure Creative Arts had a new director in place prior to her family moving out of the area, if that’s a direction her life takes.  She is currently working with the studio and will work with Steven in an advisory role to help ease the transition.  Magyar plans to continue to volunteer and possibly teach at Creative Arts for as long as she is in the Enid area.  The board is extremely grateful for all she has done for art in Enid.
