Ella Louise Teders

Celebration of life services for Ella L. Teders, 87, Financial Planner, Nurse, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Enid, OK with Pastor Andrew Long and Reverend Don Johnson officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Ella was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 8, 1931.

She received her Diploma in nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 1954 and her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University Oklahoma in 1968, Director of nursing, Enid (Oklahoma) State School, 1954; Head nurse, St. Mary’s Hospital, Enid, 1955; Public health nurse, Payne Co. Health Department, Stillwater, Oklahoma, 1955-59; Nursing service administrator, Stillwater Health Center, 1959-68; Nursing service administrator, Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital, Enid, 1968-76; Registered Health Underwriter and Financial Consultant. Published author, “Nursing Service Procedures,” 1966, 1970. Owner, operator, Ella Teders Finance Center, Enid, est. 1977. Co-administrator Garfield County Eldercare, Enid, 1980-91.

She received the following awards: Polished Diamond Award, American Association of University Women (1986); Outstanding Women Achievement in Business, American Association of University Women (1987).

Ella’s memberships included: American Association of University Women; International Association Registered Finance Consultant; International Association Finance Planners; Northwest Oklahoma Underwriters (president 1983-84); National Association Life Underwriters (local national committeeman 1985-88); National Association Health Underwriters (board directors 1980-86, 1990, Leader Producers Roundtable 1980-91); Registered Financial Consultant; Mariners Club; Member, President, President of District 4912 of State Nurses Association; State Delegate to the National Convention (Detroit, Dallas, San Francisco); Major Speaker International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (RFC) New Orleans.

Ella was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Enid. Her hobbies included golf, gardening and boating. Proceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth Joseph Teders; Surviving children: Mark Alan and Clark Owen; along with five Grandchildren, and seven Great-Grandchildren. Two Brother Emit and Elmer Grove.
