Betty grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri, and graduated Nerinx Hall High School, and attended Fontbonne College. July 14, 1951, she married Robert G. Steel in Webster Groves. Betty loved family gatherings, playing tennis, bowling, card games, theatre, and traveling. She enjoyed her birthday club ladies, Bridge groups and all things social. Betty volunteered at Mercy Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a devoted wife and mother who strived for perfection. Her greatest desire in the last years was to be close to God and her husband Bob, who preceded her in death by 22 years. We celebrate and rejoice with her now, as her desire has been fulfilled. Betty was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for more than 50 years.
