EHS to Host College Signing Day

ENID, OK - Enid High School will host a college signing ceremony honoring several senior athletes this week.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 3, at 11 a.m. in the new EHS gymnasium, located at 611 W. Wabash.

“We’re thrilled with this class of student athletes and we think they offer a lot of character and talent to the college programs they will be joining,” said Billy Tipps, Enid Public Schools Athletic Director. “Not only are they good athletes, but they are good students and good young men and women as well. We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments and their choice to further their academic and athletic careers.”

High schools and colleges nationwide will be celebrating students on National Signing Day. The program will include messages from Tipps, superintendent Dr. Darrell Floyd, and coaches speaking briefly on the athlete’s high school accomplishments.

The following students will be recognized at the event: CJ Adams, football at Emporia State University; Nate Gamble, football at Southwestern College; John Gay, football at McPherson College; Audra Hempfling, rowing at University of Central Oklahoma; Judith Huerta, soccer at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa; Maddux Mayberry, football and baseball at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M; Blake Priest, baseball at University of Oklahoma; and Mia Yerian, soccer at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa.
