Earl B. Clover

Services celebrating the life of Earl Bradford “Brad” Clover, 86, of Enid, will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Chapel with the Pastor Wade Burleson officiating, burial will follow in the Hawley Cemetery, Nash. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born June 21, 1931 to Philip and Rosalie (Combs) Clover near Nash, Oklahoma and passed from this life on March 29, 2018 in Enid at home surrounded by family.

He was raised in a military family with his father serving in the United States Army until his death in WWII . After his father’s death he worked three jobs to help his mother and younger brother get by. He graduated high school from Gore consolidated in 1949 and then married the love of his life, Glorene Goble, a year later in 1950 in Enid, Oklahoma. He held various jobs until opening his own motorcycle shop in Enid after which he became a Fireman for the Enid Fire Department serving various positions, including deputy chief, until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed traveling and being out on the farm. He was a devout Christian in the truest sense of the word and never met a person that he wasn’t willing to help. Above all else he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Glorene, his daughter Laura, his son-in-law Nathan Peters and his grandchildren, Kenna and Matilda, all of the home; A grandson Randy Becker of Pfluggerville, Texas; a granddaughter Malanie Becker of Guthrie, Oklahoma; a Granddaughter Andrea Parker on Yokota Air Force Base in Japan; and a granddaughter Desta of  Nash. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his best friend and brother Stanley “Duck” Clover; one daughter, Debra Becker and one son, Philip Clover.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Oklahoma Firefighters Association with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
