E Steve Kingcade

Edward Steve Kingcade, age 78, of Westville, OK, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Tulsa, OK. He was born on August 13, 1942 in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma to Arthur C. and Lula L. Parker Kingcade.

Steve grew up in Enid, OK and graduated from Enid High School in 1960. After high school he worked as a carpenter with local home builders. In 1963 he entered the Army serving in 1st Battalion, 8th Artillery, 25th Division until 1965 when he was honorably discharged.

After returning from the Army, Steve again worked as a carpenter. He had a wonderful gift to be able to make beautiful things out of wood; homes, furniture, anything. As a boy, Steve learned to play the violin and later the guitar. In his retirement years he found more time to enjoy playing his music. He loved his animals. Of course, Steve had his dog, Ember, but there may also be goats, mules, quail, pheasants, or horses.

Steve married Linda Ammann May 18, 1968, in Parsons, KS. They were blessed with 2 sons: Samuel and Mitchell. Family was important to Steve and he cherished the close relationships he enjoyed. Steve was a Christian man with an unyielding faith in the Lord.

Steve is survived by his wife Linda of the home, sons; Sam (Annie), and Mitch (Megan), both of Westville, OK. brother; Jerry Kingcade, Casa Grande, AZ. sisters; Carolyn (Robert) Young, Ringwood, OK, Lue Ann (Dave) Root, Enid, OK. grandchildren; Katelyn Kingcade, Lara Kingcade and Wyatt Kingcade, all of Westville, OK. and many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many good friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; Art & Lula Kingcade, nephew; Terry L. Young, and sister-in-law; Maggie Kingcade.

The funeral service will be held at Roberts & Hart funeral home in Westville, OK at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Steve’s name may be made to Linda Kingcade 72300 S 4664 RD Westville, OK 74965.
