Downtown Pop Up Shop

ENID, OK - As part of the Main Street Enid Safe Streets Simulation project, Enid Event Company is creating and hosting a pop up shop at 213 W. Randolph, current home of the indoor soccer arena. They have turned the lobby of the building into a temporary gift shop featuring wares from local artists, artisans, and crafters.
-
"I wanted to give local people that make things to sell a brick and mortar place to sell them that might not otherwise have that opportunity," said Enid Event Company owner, Tammy Wilson.
-
The shop will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21 and will be open through July 7. Regular hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
-
The purpose of pop up shops is to give people the opportunity to market their wares with low risk and low overhead and creates buzz about their products.
-
"If you have a product you would like to put in the store, there is a $25 booth rent fee and the shop gets 15% of the sales. All of the work is done by the shop and all you have to do is provide the items," Wilson stated. "We have handmade soaps, poetry books, art, jewelry, clothing, and gift items, to give you an idea of what we're looking for. We're especially looking for more eclectic items and will be adding things throughout the duration of the shop."
-
If you are interested in having your wares featured in the store, contact Enid Event Company at (580) 402-6732 or email tammy@enidevents.com.
