Donna Wight

September 30, 1954 - December 10, 2020

The Memorial Service celebrating and honoring the life of Donna will be held at a later date. Donna Marie was born September 30, 1954, the first of four girls born to dick and Johnna George in Caldwell, Kansas and passed away on December 10, 2020 in Mooreland, Oklahoma. She grew up in the loving community of Selman, Oklahoma, where she attended elementary and junior high school. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1972. Donna was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Oklahoma.

Donna was united in marriage to Jerry Wight on December 16, 1973 in Fairview, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward. Her heart was beyond blessed with the birth of her son, Chris. She enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball with Chris, as well as family fishing trips, crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, going to auctions to collect antiques, which included Vintage Barbie Dolls and Red Ruby Glassware. Donna built amazing friendships with her longtime neighbors, who she always loved visiting with. Donna shared a special relationship with her sisters. she looked forward to their visits and phone conversations. Donna will be missed by all of her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry in 2009, and her parents, Dick and Johnna George. Donna leaves behind her beloved son, Chris, and his wife Dawn. Her grandchildren, Gracie and Tristan. her three sisters: Linda Bell and husband, Steve; Dixie Lindsay, and husband Michael; Judy Edwards and husband Valentine, and numerous family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation to honor Donna's Valiant fight against this horrendous disease with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
